Over the years, we’ve worked together on some of his previous builds, including classic Holdens and Camaros. But aligning schedules has never been easy. His cars are constantly moving between exhibitions, and he’s often travelling overseas.
This time, we finally got the opportunity to work on his daily workhorse — the all-new Nissan Navara 2026.
And he came with a very clear goal:
👉 “I want silence… and I want sound perfection.”

This wasn’t just a speaker upgrade.
This was a complete acoustic transformation, designed to:

🧠 The Challenge: True 3-Way Front Stage in a New Platform
The Navara platform presents limitations:
- Only 6.5” woofer space in doors
- Factory tweeter positions
- No off-the-shelf A-pillar solutions (yet)
We had two options:
- Compromise the system
- Build something completely custom
You already know which path we took.
🧪 Enter the New Era: 3D Scanning & Custom Pods
With our latest tools, we stepped into a new level of capability.
We:
- Scanned the A-pillars in 3D
- Designed custom midrange pods in CAD
- Engineered positioning to:
- Avoid blocking driver visibility
- Aim directly at listening position
- Maintain OEM+ aesthetics
At the beginning, there’s always uncertainty:
👉 Will the finish match OEM quality?
👉 Will the fitment be perfect?
But this is where experience meets innovation.

🔇 Stage 1: Full Acoustic Insulation
Before even touching the sound system, we built the foundation.
This process took around 4 days:
- Complete interior disassembly
- Multi-layer soundproofing across the entire cabin

With the cabin prepared, we moved into installation:
