🚐 The Challenge: Big Cabin, Big Expectations
The Toyota Hiace has a spacious cabin, but the factory speakers and head unit just didn’t cut it. Yen wanted:

🔇 Sound Deadening First
We started by removing all front and rear door panels and applying STO Standarplast, our go-to material for noise isolation.
It adds minimal weight but dramatically improves acoustic performance—the perfect foundation for premium sound. 🎯
📻 Upgrading the Head Unit
We removed the factory unit and installed a high-fidelity Kenwood system. Every power feed, ground, and signal path was measured, checked, and re-checked.
The Focal K2 Power 3-way set surprised us—it came with OEM-style pods for the midrange and tweeters. Incredible fitment and top-tier design. Focal never disappoints. 🔥
🎛️ The Heart of the System – Match DSP Amplifier
The next day, we installed the Match UP 8 DSP, one of our favorite amplifiers from Audiotec Fischer. With the DSP PC-Tool software, we dialed in the sound with absolute precision.

💣 Adding the Bass – Helix Subwoofer
Finally, we added the Helix 10" subwoofer in its original enclosure.

🎵 The Final Result: Fidelity Meets Emotion
Yen came in early to pick up the van. He inspected everything:

Then came the listening session. Yen’s a live music fan, which is always tricky—many live recordings have imperfections. But after hours of tuning, EQing, and adjusting the curves… the system brought those performances to life.
