The Kenwood DAX8000XDS is a premium 8-inch digital multimedia receiver designed for vehicles where a clean, factory-style installation and flexible mounting are important.
Unlike a conventional all-in-one head unit, the DAX8000XDS uses a separate monitor and receiver chassis, allowing the 8-inch display to be integrated into suitable factory dashboard locations while the main electronics can be installed separately.
The 1280 × 720 HD capacitive touchscreen provides a sharp, responsive interface with wide viewing angles and reduced glare, helping deliver a modern OEM-style appearance.
Enjoy wired or wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for navigation, calls, messaging and compatible music apps. Wireless Mirroring for compatible Android devices and HDMI connectivity provide additional multimedia options.
For higher-end audio systems, the DAX8000XDS supports High-Resolution Audio, wireless LDAC playback, 13-band equalisation, digital time alignment, 3-way crossover configuration, three 5V pre-outs, and a digital optical audio output, making it well suited to integration with external amplifiers and DSP processors.
The receiver also supports four camera inputs, including compatible HD front and rear cameras, as well as Kenwood Dash Cam Link functionality.
For compatible vehicles, iDatalink Maestro integration can retain supported factory controls and vehicle information. Vehicle-specific interfaces and installation components are required and sold separately.
Professional installation is required due to the modular chassis design and vehicle-specific integration requirements.
