Day 1: Planning & Harness Design
Unlike other cars, Teslas don’t play by standard rules. Their EV architecture means every amp connection, power tap, and ground must be perfect. No margin for error.
We manually mapped power and signal routes, since no official harness exists for the Model S.

Day 2: Soundproofing – The Secret Weapon
A premium system is only as good as its acoustic environment.
We treated Kevin’s doors and panels with STP soundproofing, reducing road noise and increasing midbass performance by over 50%.
Adapters and spacers were custom-ordered from Aerpro, ensuring a solid speaker mount with zero resonance.
Days 3–5: Building the Perfect Subwoofer Box
Tesla has no pre-made enclosures available in Australia — so we built one.
Over 3 days, we:
- Measured every corner and panel
- Chose the right MDF + acoustic materials
- Built, sealed, and tuned the box to match the HELIX IK S12-DVC2’s ideal frequency range
Kevin wanted serious low-end — we delivered with surgical precision.
Days 6–7: Full Integration & DSP Calibration
We fitted all components into the Tesla’s cabin, hidden and factory-perfect.
The MATCH UP 8DSP was then calibrated using Audiotec Fischer’s PC Tools — the gold standard in digital sound tuning.
Polarity checks were essential — with custom harnesses, one inverted channel can ruin the soundstage. That’s why we test every output manually before final tuning.
Day 8: Tuning the Emotion
We spent 4–6 hours using calibrated microphones and advanced RTA analysis to sculpt the sound.
The result? A concert hall experience in a Tesla. Crisp highs, defined mids, and sub-bass that hits without distortion.
