2. BlackVue B-130X: Dedicated Power for Parking Surveillance
A premium dash camera becomes considerably more useful when it can operate after the vehicle has been switched off.
For this Audi Q3, we installed the BlackVue B-130X parking mode battery pack.
The B-130X provides a dedicated power supply for the dash cam during parking operation, reducing reliance on the Audi's starter battery.
This is particularly valuable for modern vehicles equipped with sophisticated electrical systems and battery management.
Why use a dedicated parking battery?
- Supports dash cam operation after the engine is switched off.
- Reduces the dash cam's dependence on the vehicle's starter battery while parked.
- Uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery technology.

The B-130X has a manufacturer-rated capacity of 96 Wh. Actual parking recording duration depends on the camera's operating mode, power consumption, battery charge and environmental conditions.

3. BlackVue CM100GLTE: 4G Connectivity and Remote Vehicle Monitoring
The third component transforms this installation from a conventional recording system into a connected dash cam solution.
We integrated the BlackVue CM100GLTE 4G LTE connectivity module, which is officially compatible with the ELITE 10 series.
With an active, compatible nano-SIM and mobile data service, the module allows the dash cam to connect to BlackVue Cloud without relying on a separate vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot.
Depending on the camera settings, connection and Cloud plan, connected features can include:
- Remote Live View through the BlackVue app.
- Access to supported recordings remotely.
- Event notifications and parking-related alerts.
- GPS-based vehicle location information.
- Supported Cloud storage and backup features.
